Q. How can I use points?

If you are an active member, you may use 1000 points for downloading a file size of 1GB.
For example,
5000 points equivalent to 5GB
10000 points equivalent to 10GB
Q. How does the Point System work?
A.
Pointint system is available only to active members.
If you are not an active valid member, Point system cannot be used.
Purchased point enables you to download more than your daily limit.
1000 points allow active members to download a file size of 1GB.

No. The pointing system account alone cannot be used to login.

Q. I downloaded the file with using J point. However it is failed. J point will be resetting?
A. J point is not resetting automatically. Please download it again from "Downloaded List" within 72 hours.
Q. I am a gmail user. I have received an email from your J point system. But I can not click the url to register the system.
A. Please copy and paste the url to your browser.
Q. Where can I purchase more J point?
A. You can purchase more J point here (Purchase Additional Points).
Q. The combination of J points and my downloadable bytes is OK for the downloading?
A. OK! you can use J points with your downloadable bytes.
Q. Can I have two J point account for one login account?
A. You can not have two J point account for one login account.
Q. How much is J point?
A. 10000 points = 1000 JPY.

Q. Do you have any expiration date in J point?
A. It is within one year from the date of purchase.
Q. After the re-registration for the membership, can I use the J point that was last owned?
A. If you want to use a point that has been previously owned, you must be registered with the same user name as the last time.
Q. According to your new J point system, can I make downloads without any J points, just being a member?
A. Just being a ccbill member, you can make downloads within 3GB/24h. Being a JSKY member, you can make downloads from 6GB/24h without any J points.
Downloads
Q. What is download limit?
A. Please check your downloaded amount at my page. Reset occurs every 5AM in Japan Standard Time. Please visit here at http://my.tokyo-hot.com/join/
Q. Why downloaded amount and file size differ?
A. File size uses GiB as unit as in Windows Operation Systems while our download uses GB.
Q. How can I know if I can download more today?
A. My page shows the amount you can download.
Q. Full HD file can be downloaded as much as 4GB but no more.
A. Your file system has to support saving more than 4GB in size. FAT32 doesn't support saving file more than 4GB in size.
Q. Can I use download manager / software?
A. No, we do not support any download manager / software or any add-ons on browsers. i.e) Firefox's Add-ons and Chrome's add-ons
Q. Why my download has been stopped or suspended.
A. Please check if there are enough storage space in your drives. If you have a suspend mode in your OS, please check power saving mode.
Q. How many files can I download at the same time?
A. There is no restriction but it's by limited mostly by your browser.
Q. Can I still download during cancellation process?
A. Yes, you can download until your membership expires.
Q. I am using Windows XP SP2 32 bit. Is there any issue in downloads?
A. Newer PCs and latest 64 bit OS would be faster in downloads. It can be 20 times faster as we checked.
Q. Why download speed is very slow?
A. Anti-Virus Software may reduce the download speed. Please turn it off if you experience in sudden drop in download speed. If you have shared internet plan, the speed can be reduced. Please check you internet service provider. Our servers are locate in the west coast of USA. There is nothing to be the speed measured in Japan.
Q. Is there any browser recommended?
A. IE8 or later, Google Chrome, Firefox are usually recommended, please keep the latest version of browser. We don't recommend OSX's Safari. If you use Mac, please use Google Chrome or Firefox.
Q. I cancelled downloads during downloading? What can I do?
A. Please download again at my page.
Q. Cancelled download affects the amount of allowed amount?
A. The cancelled download is still listed in my page, please download again.
Q. Zip file, more than 4GB in size, cannot be unzipped. File size seems to be correct.
A. Lhaplus or other tools sometimes fail Please use appropriate tool to unzip. Windows Vista or Windows 7 generally do not require any tool to unzip.
Q. Why file cannot be unziped?
A. Please do not use any tool if you use Windows Vists or Windows 7 in order to unzip.
Q. I cannot play movie after unzip.
A. Please do not use any tool if you use Windows Vists or Windows 7 in order to unzip.
Q. Downloaded file is too large to save on drive.
A. if you use FAT32 file system, you cannot save any file larger tan 4GB. Please consider using NTFS file system.
Q. File stops during download in IE9. I am using NTFS.
A. Please use Firefox or Google Chrome.
Q. How can I download a video?
A. After you login, please left click on the download button shown in product page.
Q. What time is the resetting time for the downloading?
A. 5:00 am (Japan time)

Playing Videos
Q. Can I still watch after cancellation is completed?
A. Yes, you can play videos because there are no DRM in video files. However if you have DRM files, these are not able to play on the new PC.
Q. Windows Media Player says C00D11B1 error.
A. We do not know much about C00D11B1 error, Please VLC or alternative player. If you still cannot, please use another PC or Mac to check.
Q. Why the file downloaded is zip file?
A. Older files of wmv are packed in zip files. Please unzip these files.
Q. I cannot forward the video while watching.
A. Please check the file size is correct. If the file size is correct, please use another alternative player such as VLC.
Q. What is recommended environment in Windows?
A. Windows XP SP2, VISTA、 Windows 7 or later is recommended. Windows Media Player 10 or later Microsoft Windows Media Player(the latest version) is supported to play videos. However, we don't generally recommend XP or Vista.
Q. What is recommended environment in Mac OSX?
A. For WMV files, please install QuickTime 7.0 or later, and Flip4Mac or VLC(VLC Media Player)
